"We got an achievement from TVXQ's concerts more than we've been expecting. At first, we planned 20 concerts, but we added 6 additional concerts because of fans' good reaction. TVXQ had re-started after 2-years idling period, I've heard that they did 200 percent of work as their abilities. Thanks to that, SM Entertainment Japan's contribution this year would be better than last year."
It was because TVXQ earned 87.5 billion won as sales volume via such as tickets and their character goodies while going on a road for their solo concert tour in Japan since last January. And, in this sales volume, SM Entertainment Japan's one would be expected to reach 15 percent (13.1 billion won) of it.
"TVXQ, who took disadvantage on album sales more than SNSD last year, proved the best of KPOP star of all. It was because they provided the audiences the entertainment shows to enjoy, and their male fans are increasing more than befere."
She said TVXQ will also earn more additional sales on another tour this time. Those 150,000 people who would give advantage to purchase tickets were mostly not able to get tickets, so they will hold huge fanmeet events in summer and announce their new song, and then they are ready to grab the glory of the heyday back. Their another artist SHINee will have 20 concerts in Japan. Super Junior and SNSD have a plan to hold some concerts after releasing their album as well as last year.
Sales volume of SM Entertainment Japan last year would be supposed to reach 3 billion yen to 4 billion yen (41.8 billion won to 55.8 billion won), the sales from concerts section was accounted for half of it. Concerts will make some inferences on their album sales. Popularity of SM show is an achievement from having an increase in the overseas market for 15 years since HOT's Shanghai concert."
According to the SM's consolidated financial statements, sales last year was 143 billion won increasing 47 percent of year-on-year, operating profits was 25.3 billion won increasing 25 percent of year-on-year. Jung YuSeok Researcher of LIG Investment Securities explained via a recent report, "Such good achievement would be continued this year, too," and "It is because TVXQ, SNSD and Super Junior will be pushing more and more on their Japan activities."
Japanese concert market earns 1 trillion, 750 billion won per year with 26 million people. Scale of concert market is more than 3 times bigger than one in Korea. A male representative, who joined SM Entertainment Japan when it was established in 2001, is the main cast to had made KPOP wave in the Japanese market using BoA. However, he pointed out, "KPOP wave has not only an upbeat hope but also a challenging ordeal."
